At Alumex, we are deeply committed to minimizing our environmental impact through innovation and resource efficiency. Sustainability is at the heart of our operations, from sourcing materials to manufacturing and distribution. By prioritizing circularity, reducing waste, and increasing the use of recycled aluminium, we aim to create a greener future while driving meaningful change for the environment.

Our Contribution to UN SDGs

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), Alumex is dedicated to advancing global sustainability. Our approach, detailed in our Sustainable Development Goals pages 109 to 110, encompasses environmental stewardship, social inclusivity, and economic empowerment.

Our Commitment

At Alumex PLC, we are committed to transparency and responsible product stewardship through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and to four clear goals for the years ahead.

Transparent Life Cycle Assessment

On request, we provide customers with cradle-to-gate LCA information for our products, so they can understand the environmental impact of raw material extraction, processing and manufacturing. Every result is backed by transparent detail: our assumptions, data sources, methodologies and system boundaries.

ASI Certification

We are working to obtain Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) certification for our facility. This means meeting ASI requirements in full, making the changes needed to align with ASI standards, and preparing for formal certification assessment.

Sustainability Training

We are developing training programmes to raise employee awareness of our sustainability goals and practices workshops, seminars and online modules covering environmental conservation, health and safety, and social responsibility, delivered by specialists in each field.

Reducing Our Carbon Emissions

We are identifying and implementing initiatives to cut emissions and mitigate our climate impact including energy efficiency projects, renewable energy investment and carbon offset programmes.
